Afghanistan Resources
Agriculture is one of the main incomes and resource in Afghanistan's Economy. More then 80 percent of Afghanistan's population is involved in farming in herding or both. Poppy is the one of the main crop in Afghanistan; but it is not a major cash crop. People that farm it don't make that much money for it. Hashish is one of the main cash crops of Afghanistan. They earn 30 dollars and hour more then they do from harvesting wheat. They sale the crop to Pakistani smugglers. They are growing more of it since the demand for the drug in increasing in the nearby country of Iran and it is increasing in Pakistan. Most of the cannabis are aware of it being grown in the North and the East where poppy seed cultivation has largely stopped being produced.
Afghanistan is sitting on a $1 trillion dollars of untapped minerals suck as copper, gold, iron and cobalt as well as vast amounts of lithium, a key component in batteries. The discovery was made by calculations from surveys conducted jointly by the Pentagon and the US Geological Survey. The mine might be one of the best and lucrative mines in the world. Mineral resources are vital to Afghanistan's industrial growth and development between 2005 and 2007.
